After three days of doing everything we could to destroy our little Protege, the car wound up running like a champ all weekend. We came in 18th place (out of 80 entries) and we finished 450 laps.On Sunday, we pulled off the rear doors and the trunk lid to make it lighter and, well, it seemed like a fun idea.
Sunday brought much faster racing with a lot more speed and a bunch more contact. But the car hung in there, in fact, we drove it to the crusher.
